As an educational resource with multiple applications to classroom instruction, newspapers are valuable because they contain material that is varied, up to date and interesting to students.  With NIE, students learn about the newspaper as an integral part of contemporary society, and from the newspaper about subjects that relate to their academic coursework.  Students will participate in NIE on Thursdays of each week.
